Question: What is the difference between learning disability and asperger syndrome?

I have a learning disability, which I've had all my life. A good friend of mine has a brother who has asperger syndrome. She notices certain symptoms in me that her brother has. She believes I may have it as well. My symptoms: hard time making friends, hard to tell if someone joking, don't like to be around lots of people, interrupt, hard time understand things, need things repeated/ explained...etc. Could someone tell me what is the difference between Learning Disability and Asperger Syndrome? I'm confused the difference between the two, they seem quite similar.
