Hey, I'm 12 years old and have bipolar, ODD, depression, anxiety, and on my way to being diagnosed with OCD. I have a handicap brother who has Aperts syndrome and a 4 year old brother. I feel alone on this one Why do i feel guilty or as i need attention or wish they were all died? In my eyes the hole world should be dead. Or just me. I can't stand to go shopping with my family anymore because they cant go shopping in a " normal" way. We spent from 6 30 tell 8 00 just buying less than 20 things It drives me nuts I already see a therapist 2 times every week. Sometimes 3. I have been in a mental hospital more than 3 times in the last year and a half I hate my life and have attempted killing myself 3 times. What do i do I am tempted to do something bad or act out just to go back to a mental ward.....Is that bad? I have already givin' my special needs brother PTSD post traumatic stress disorder And my little brother refuses to talk or sit by me even if my mom is in the room WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME??????? I EVEN SCARY MYSELF I just want to go back to the hospital i feel safer there and want to live there for ever. I absolutely love it there D HELP What do i do? What is in my best intresed? Please help me.....
Does having special needs give them the right to treat me like this?
I have 2 friends that have special needs. Things all went downhill when I revealed to one of them that I'm gay. One of them has down syndrome and laughs at me, plus doesn't talk to me the same that she did before. She also has been telling lies about me to my other friend with special needs. The other one who's autistic actually seems like he doesn't want to be my friend anymore...says he wants to " take a break" from being friends. I don't know what to do ?To be honest, they're my only friends I'm very shy and they're the only ones I'm more comfortable being around but I'm really hurt at their actions. I'm stuck in a " comfort zone" and have a hard time breaking away from them, though I know it's needed. Please help? I really feel depressed and lonely because I thought these 2 had my back.
Need help in finding suitable clothes for a special needs man?
I work in a centre with adult males clients with an intellectual disability.Recently we have a new addition, a man of 44 who is very fit and agile.He has lived the majority of his life at home more or less naked.We have tried every way for him to keep his clothes on but no way.His level is very profound and no result has been achieved with behaviour management etc.Has anyone ever come across this problem before.One piece suits don't work as he wets them.T shirts and shorts he wont wear.Night shirts work for a short time,but he strips them off again.It is more compounded by the fact that people call to see their relatives and have been greeted by him just inside the door in the nude.It is impossible to watch him 24 7..Is there any type of garment that anyone knows of that can be strapped on,and being practical a dress type for toilet use.Any help would be a godsend..
Anesthesia on a special needs kid?
well, i have a 2 year old son that has a mental problem, a cerebral palsy, and he is getting a dentistry job done and they are using anesthesia, but i dont know if it could be bad for him. His doctor's nurse said that as long as the procedure is done somewhere where they will know what to do in case of an emergency everything is ok, but i still have my doubts... anyone with a similar experience? any suggestions?

I need some help. having a hard time with my special needs friend.?
I need some help. I'm 14 years old an my best friend is 16 years old. He's special needs though. 3 days before his b day my friend was really sexual to me. I mean he didn't actually have sex with me but he touch me in places he shouldn't have. Of course i told him to stop and no, but i think since of his needs he some what doesn't understand me. Instead of telling anybody because his b day was coming up i decide to leave the subject alone. Yesterday it was his 16th b day and my mom dropped me at his house. I'm very good friends with him and his parents and my parents are really good friends with them too. Yesterday jake wanted me to play his game I bought for him. mairo kart for the wii. So i went up stairs and he kept the door open and we were having a good time playing mario kart until he was like you forget to give me my special present. I looked at him and I said what special present? since we were sitting on the floor he started to come closer to me and again i told him no don't do that and he back off. After a few mins passed by we went outside and decide to walk to the park. We walked around the park for a while and played catch and he was doing good. I told him i needed to go to the bathroom public ones and he said he needed to go to. Long story short before I came out the bathroom i remember jake walking in to the bathroom and i was trying to tell him not to because he shouldn't be in here but for some reason he had is mine set and just pushed me to the wall grabbed my neck and told me not to move. I was scared to death. But i didn't show it. I remember my dad telling me that if something every happened to me to always act calm so that what i did. jake kept telling me he wanted his special present and i seriously had no idea what he was talking about. I told him i'll do whatever he wanted me to do as long as he took his hand away from my neck. He said okay and the next min i knew his pants were down. In side i was freaking out but on the outside i just wanted to get back home. So under my willing I did what he asked. After that we walked back home. I called my mom to pick me up and she did. my question is does he not understand things because he's special needs? Was I wrong? I don't think he raped me because i was wiling to do whatever he wanted as long as he let my neck go. I love jake as my best friend I just think he doesn't understand what he did was wrong and bad. What do you guys think?
Do you have power of attorney or health care proxy of your Disabled (special needs ) 18+ Child ?
My son is going to be 18 .I have a few questions .He has multiple diagnoses . On some levels he is age appropriate but on life skills he is bordering 14 15.Now i don't want on his 18th birthday to declare him incompetent because he isn't. I don't want guardianship of an adult child . But he will NEED assist with legal documents college apps Doctors appointments medication management. so i am going to need documentation that i can sign his signature for him and make legal decisions for him and permission to speak to me now that he is an adult .So what steps did you take ? Did to get power of attorney and health care proxy ? did you need a Lawyer or advocate ? or is there another solution ? Thank youOkay to clarify He doesnt comprehend things he is sighning .Legaly after 18 providers and such CANT speek with me as he would be an adult .Yes he can take his own medications as he does but the decision making when he is asked by he providers are not clear to him.

Hi I have a brother who is 21 with tourettes syndrome, ADHD, and OCD and i was wondering if there is any government assistance available for him to help him with finding and helping pay for an apartment for him to live on his own in texas?.... if anyone has any information or knows where i should look to find out please let me know. thanks
