Chlamydia treatment?? pls help?
Not too long ago I testd pos. for chlamydia. I'm not sure how long I've had it I kno tht it can lead to PID and infertility but my boyfriend been with for awhile and I went to get treated together. We both gt 2 pills 500 mg of azithromycin. The doc told us to take both pills at the same time on a full stomach. My boyfriend has not had any symptoms but about 3 4 hrs after I took them I had diarrhea twice but thts it the diarrhea was the same day I took the meds and I haven't had it since. How do I know if the meds are working? Also my discharge has started smelling awkward...what's this about? I also know that the medicine takes Bout a week to clear out the whole infection I'm just concerned if its still in me and curing meP.S its been four days after we took the meds and my boyfriend decides to take two shots of alcohol and a half bottle of mikes hard lemonade...is this enough alcohol to make the medicine not work?If you have any accurate advise it will be most appreciated. Pls try to answer all my concerns honestly and intelligently
Disease treatments: Communicating better treatments from doctor to doctor?
.I was talking to a elderly couple. The man was complaining that his wife had been going to the doctor for several weeks, and had been on three different antibiotics, and still her flu like symptoms persisted. In fact I had suffered from similar symptoms, and had been on two different types of antibiotics and still my symptoms persisted. I had been given penicillin, and erythromycin. The elderly gentlemen then stated to me that his nephew had the flu, his doctor gave him antibiotics and he was better in two weeks. So I asked the couple to find out which type of antibiotics the doctor had prescribed for their nephew. Today, the couple brought me the name of the antibiotic " Clarithromycin" .I 'goggled' the antibiotic and sure enough the treatment scope for this drug was exactly the symptoms I had experienced. The drug was similar to erythromycin, but with an expanded scope for treating infections. So the question is...Why don't doctors communicate to each other what drugs are working the best for the various flu cold strains that are making the rounds ?

I've been breaking out really bad lately & I was wondering what acne treatment you use that works for you. I tried Proactive but it stopped working for me after using it for a few months...What would you recommend I try?

What is the treatment for a PTT tear and how long does it usually last for?
Well 14 weeks ago I had a bad accident on my scooter, I rolled my ankle jumping from 6ft. At the hospital they said it was not too serious no breaks just maybe ligament rupture load of rubbish that was . When I went back for a follow up 4 days later I was put in a cast there was an avulsion fracture after all. I then saw a trauma and orthopedics specialist 8 days after the follow up who had the cast removed and put me in a stirrup splint. It then worsened slightly over a month so he put me in an air cast boot. It carried on worsening over the next month so he has now put me back in a cast which I have had for 3 weeks and will be seeing him in another 3 weeks. Last time I saw him he explained how the small fracture was fine it had healed but he thought I had torn the prosterior tibial tendon so he ordered me an MRI which I have not had yet . That was all the info he gave me really, but I want to know what is the healing time for this injury and how is it usually treated, you see I am getting slightly worried as a number of people have told me they think I may have to have surgery and it may take 6 months to heal. If it takes six months to heal I don't think I will cope very well as I am an incredibly sporty person and my life had literally fallen apart these last few months, so please help me out here.Thank you in advance
Radiation Treatment & How It Affects Our Taste Buds?
When I was three, I had to have radiation therapy and they had said that it would affect my taste buds. I remember having eaten bananas at that age, but when I tried them now, I seem to have an intolerance to them. Can this have something to do with the radiation treatment I had all those years ago? From what you had said, about the radiation being done to my mouth, I realized I forgot to mention that it was done to my brain. I had cancer in the brain stem.
